HP Docking Station - Monitor Issue Fix
The Issue: When connecting a laptop to an HP docking station, no image is displayed on the external monitors. This issue can often be resolved by ensuring drivers are up to date and configuring the display settings correctly.
Procedure

Download and Install HP Image Assistant:
- Go to the HP Image Assistant download page.
- Download the latest version of HP Image Assistant.
- Install the software by following the on-screen instructions.

Run HP Image Assistant:
- Open HP Image Assistant.
- The software will automatically scan your PC for outdated drivers.

Update Drivers:
- Review the list of drivers that need updating.
- Select all the drivers you want to update, including the BIOS and Graphics driver.
- Click on the “Update” button to start the update process.
- Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the updates.

Restart Your PC:
- After the updates are installed, restart your PC to apply the changes.

Configure Dual Monitors:
- Connect your dual external monitors to your PC.
- Right-click on the desktop and select “Display settings.”
- Under the “Multiple displays” section, select “Extend these displays” to use both monitors.
- Adjust the resolution and orientation settings as needed.
